We Make Noise
for brands that have something to say.
Make Noise Collective is the creative practice of Christopher Johnston — a Creative Director, Art Director, and Designer with 20+ years building brand systems, campaigns, and visual identities across music, entertainment, and culture. We work with brands that understand the difference between being seen and being remembered.
We Craft Noise
that engages, connects and resonates
My work sits at the intersection of music, entertainment, and culture — areas where identity isn't cosmetic, it's existential. The brands I've built have had to earn their place in spaces where audiences are skeptical, tastemakers are watching, and first impressions are permanent.

We Craft Noise
that is authentic, true and connects
Our work lives at the intersection of music, entertainment, and culture — spaces where identity isn't cosmetic, it's existential. The brands we've built have had to earn their place in rooms where audiences are skeptical, tastemakers are watching, and first impressions are permanent. We don't decorate. We define.

We Shape Noise
that tells the story that needs to be told
We've led creative across major festival campaigns — Virgin Music Festival, Roxodus, Edgefest — and built brand systems for platforms that rewrote how audiences engage with music, like Comes With Music. We've developed visual identities for artists including Bonnie Raitt, Walk Off The Earth, and Mark Knopfler, and driven identity overhauls for organizations at pivotal moments of growth. Every project starts with the same question: what does this brand need to say that only it can say?
